you will face misdemeanor charges for a first offense, and penalties including
up to six months in jail, up to $1,000 in fines, up to 120 hours of community

you will face felony charges and significantly increased penalties for
conviction such as up to five years in prison, and up to $15,000 in fines.
If you are charged with battery domestic violence where strangulation is
present, then you will face felony charges, and penalties of up to five
years in prison, and up to $15,000 in fines. If substantial bodily harm
was suffered, then you will face up to five years in prison, and up to
$10,000 in fines for this felony conviction. Finally, if a deadly weapon
was used, and significant bodily harm was suffered, then you will face
felony charges, and up to 15 years in prison as well as up to $10,000 in fines.
